This photo composition project was created around a social, political, or personal issue that is particularly meaningful to me. Reflecting on the global COVID-19 pandemic, I’ve witnessed its profound impact on both our environment and society
In the first image, I focused on the environmental consequences of single-use plastics, particularly the widespread disposal of masks and gloves. This issue emerged in mid-2020, as discarded PPE became a new form of pollution. While these items are vital for our protection, their improper disposal not only poses health risks but also endangers wildlife and exacerbates the spread of germs
The second image addresses the social effects of the pandemic. I depicted the model at varying distances from herself, symbolizing the physical separation we’ve had to endure in order to protect each other. This visual representation highlights the isolation and social distancing that has become a defining aspect of our daily lives
