For my second audio project, I created a short audio postcard that transports listeners to a specific moment in time, accompanied by five photographs to provide additional context to the story. I chose to narrate a beloved UMBC tradition from my undergraduate years: The Homecoming Bonfire
Since 1976, UMBC (University of Maryland, Baltimore County) in Catonsville, MD, has celebrated Homecoming with a variety of events, including a soccer game, alumni reunions, a 5K race around campus, and the iconic bonfire in front of the library at Erickson Field. The Arbutus Volunteer Fire Department is responsible for lighting, managing, and extinguishing the bonfire, adding a unique touch to the festivities
