For this project, I had the exciting opportunity to design a fictional exhibit for a Maryland museum. I chose to create an exhibit for the National Aquarium in Baltimore, MD, titled Humans vs Sharks: Who’s the Real Predator of the Sea? The exhibit aims to explore the complex and often misunderstood relationship between humans and sharks, challenging the commonly held narrative that sharks are the true predators of the sea. In reality, sharks face a much greater threat from human activity, with more sharks being killed by humans each year than the number of attacks on humans
This project involved developing the concept, title, and tagline for the exhibit, as well as designing the exhibit logo. Additionally, I created a comprehensive brand guidelines book to ensure consistency across all visual elements of the exhibit’s marketing and signage
*Disclaimer: This is a student-made creative project and has no professional association with the National Aquarium
PBDS 640 - Design Principles & Strategies | UBalt | Fall 2021
For my introductory motion design project, I transformed a design from a previous project into a dynamic animation. I chose to animate the chapter page from my "Humans vs Sharks" exhibit, where a shark bursts out of the water, and the palm tree leaves sway in the wind. This project allowed me to experiment with bringing static designs to life, adding movement and depth while enhancing the visual storytelling
