In the summer of 2018, I had the incredible opportunity to spend two weeks touring Europe, with Paris as one of my key destinations. During my time in the city, I visited iconic landmarks like the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame Cathedral, and the Louvre Museum. Each location offered a unique window into Paris's rich history, culture, and artistic heritage, which I was excited to capture through my lens
Paris, France | July 2018
The Eiffel Tower was a stunning example of architectural history, and experiencing it both by day and by night was a highlight of my time in Paris. During the day, I captured its grand structure against the Paris skyline, and later, I photographed its intricate details illuminated at night. Inside the tower, I focused on the play of light and shadow, showcasing the beauty of its iron framework and the breathtaking views of the city below
Visiting the Louvre was an unforgettable experience, offering a chance to explore one of the world’s most renowned museums. The vast collection of art, spanning centuries of history, was awe-inspiring. In these images, I focused on capturing the museum's diverse architecture and the unique atmosphere within its walls. I also documented the crowds gathered around iconic pieces, particularly the Mona Lisa, highlighting the contrast between the quiet reverence of the artwork and the bustling energy of the museum
During this trip, I was honored to visit Notre Dame Cathedral before the tragic fire in 2019. The cathedral’s stunning Gothic architecture, with its intricate details and soaring spires, was a remarkable sight to behold. Capturing the grandeur of this historic monument was a truly memorable experience, and I’m grateful to have witnessed its beauty before it was forever altered
The Sacred Heart Basilica (Sacré-Cœur) was another highlight of my trip to Paris. While I didn’t have the chance to enter the church, the surrounding area offered stunning views of the city and a peaceful atmosphere. I captured the striking exterior of the basilica as well as the vibrant, lively scenes from the nearby Montmartre neighborhood, showcasing both the architecture and the dynamic energy of this iconic location
